Our friendly team is ready to help you plan your itinerary, share up‑to‑date local knowledge, and guide you through the many experiences the region has to offer.
Following major extensions completed in 2023, the Centre’s museum showcases the rich landscapes and history of the region. Exhibits highlight the five pillars on which the community was built: Dinosaurs, First Nations, Pastoral, Sheep, and Railway. Families will also find dedicated children’s areas designed to keep curious young minds engaged.
The Centre is also a booking agent for Queensland Rail and Queensland National Parks and Wildlife.

The renewed and refreshed Centre allows visitors even more room to explore and discover, along with new video and audio elements which elevate the visitor experience.

For our little explorers, there is a brand-new fossil dig area where children can dress up as fossil hunters and uncover hidden treasures, as well as engaging storytelling sessions from our incredible locals through captivating video and audio.
